Pain Impact
The Centre for Pain Impact aims to improve the lives of people suffering from chronic pain through innovative research and education. Our team of researchers, healthcare professionals, and community members come from around the world. This diversity strengthens our team, fosters innovation, and creates a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
Our vision is to create a community of experts dedicated to understanding the complex nature of chronic pain and developing evidence-based approaches to its prevention, management, and ultimately its cure.
The Centre’s research projects are supported by the by the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the Australian Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), Rebecca L. Cooper Medical Research Foundation, International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP), US Department of Defence (DoD), NSW Defence Innovation Network and NSW Health.
